The Department of Cell Biology & Anatomy’s Digitized Video Microscopy Facility is a unit of the Laboratories of Cell Biology of the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy and is co-directed by Dr. Brian Herman and Dr. Kenneth Jacobson. Dr. John Lemasters directs the confocal microscopy portion of the facility. The facility provides state-of-the art transmitted and fluorescence optical microscopy technologies for use by interested scientists from academia and industry. Dr. Gordon and Ms. Berry are bioengineers assigned full-time to the Video Microscope Facility. Each has extensive experience in digitized optical microscopy, computer programming, lasers and digital image analysis. These individuals provide training for outside users of the facility and help in data acquisition, analysis and hard copy output.
